When I retired from my full time job and started this blog in January of 2013, I had a plan for my future that, along with writing, included designing book covers.
I majored in Art History in college and would love to create brilliant, original art work. Sadly, I can can barely draw stick figures, so that wasn't in the cards. However, Photoshop has allowed me to learn the basics of graphic design without any technical drawing ability.
I have had a wonderful time designing book covers (both ebook and print) for myself and other writers that I'd like to share. I'd love to hear what you think of them!
Very nice, Alison.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Loretta. It's really been fun.
DeleteLovely, Alison. Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Robena. Graphic design is a wonderful change of pace from writing. I hope to do many more covers!
DeleteSuch tempting covers, Alison! You're very talented.
ReplyDeleteJust an eager beginner, Glenys.
DeleteYou are so talented, Alison. What great covers.
ReplyDeleteYou're too kind, Diane.
DeleteWell you know I love them--since most of them are mine! LOL It's so fun seeing a vision for a cover come to life.
ReplyDeleteJannine, you're my favorite (and only!) client. Thank you so much for the opportunity to work on them. If you ever do any indie projects in the future, I hope you'll let me work with you again.
DeleteI'd love to! And I'm sure I'm not done with indie yet!
